Well, now you can look at books in a whole new way through the "mel" in Pape-mel-roti.
We are so proud of Papemelroti artist Meldy! She is behind many of the shop's adorable figurine characters. Many of the popular products are named after her husband and children.
She is also jokingly called the "factory worker" because she works so fast!
We want to share with you her latest passion - book art. We asked Meldy for a tip for those wanting to explore this particular craft and she said - "Patience. It can take hours to make one."
She first got into shaping the pages of books into words and figures because of their family bookstore "Biblio".
Biblio is not your typical bookstore. As you can see, the store makes books part of the decor!
You don't just buy books here, you can also get your coffee fix. It's a nice place to sip and read a book.
Biblio's first branch is located at UP Town mall, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City.
Biblio now has a new branch at Ayala Mall Cloverleaf in Balintawak, Quezon City.
